Required Skills/Experience:
Minimum 1-year current Pediatric RN experience.
Must be comfortable with high-flow oxygen, spinal fusion, and chest tubes.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
Multiple years of travel experience preferred.
Special Requests:
New travelers on their first contract will not be placed on day shift and must be willing to work night shift.
Unit Details:
Patient ratios vary by acuity: 1:3 for step-down patients and 1:4 for basic-care patients.
Step-down patients may include spinal fusions, chest tubes, and high-flow oxygen; CPAP, BiPAP, and tracheostomy/ventilator patients go to PICU.
Equipment includes Phillips monitors and an AccuVein.
Procedures include NGTs, Foleys, TP tubes, PIVs, and phlebotomy; lumbar punctures are rare but may occur occasionally.
The department handles all cases except trauma and burns.
Details:
• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear "Yes" or "No" response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
