Artificial nails are not allowed for any travelers. Failure to adhere could result in being sent home and/or terminated if policy is not followed.
Required Skills/Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Cath Lab.
Must have experience with IABP and IVUS.
Will consider CV Tech, Cath Lab Tech, EP Tech, and Vascular IR Tech.
Required Credentials:
RCIS is not accepted for this assignment.
Special Requests:
If candidate worked a perm facility in the last 12 months, 1 reference must be from perm facility.
Eligibility as Current/Previous Employee: cumulative experience applies for previous travelers.
References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to.
Unit Details:
Daily case volume ranges from 2 to 9 cases, averaging 4-5.
Common cases include peripheral procedures, cardiac catheterization, PCI, ICDs, and pacemakers; the patient population is adult cardiac patients. The lab does not perform EP ablations.
Technologists scrub and monitor cases.
Uses Cupid, Dynamics, and Xper.
Equipment includes an Acist injector, IABP, and IVUS; Acist injector training is provided.
Uses Philips hardwired bedside telemetry.
The lab uses Omnicell for certain medications, with pharmacy support for others.
Cardiology is on call 24/7.
Shift & Scheduling:
Monday-Friday.
On-call: Monday-Friday 1530-0700, averaging 15 days per month; call days may decrease as permanent staff are added.
Weekend coverage: Saturday/Sunday, 0700-0700.
Holiday coverage is by call 7-7.
Floating Requirements:
May be floated to Non-Invasive CV at times to start IVs.
