Travel Nurse (RN) - Telemetry Unit

Special Requests:

Required Skills/Experience:

• Phlebotomy, IV starts, EKG, tele monitoring, and cardioversion experience required.

Unit Details:

• Patient ratios: 5:1 MS; 1:1-1:3 ICU (more of a step-down unit); IMC 1:2-1:4.
• Common diagnoses include COPD, pneumonia, AFib RVR, DKA, CIWA, and cardiac patients.
• RNs titrate drips including pressors, insulin, anticoagulants, epinephrine, norepinephrine, vasopressin, and angiotensin-II.
• RNs are required to read their own strips.
• Charge nurse takes assignments; house supervisor on site.
• Cares for patients requiring CPAP, BiPAP, high flow, and ventilator support; RT coverage 22hrs/7.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Flex weekends and holidays.
• No self-scheduling.
• If low census, clinicians may be placed on low needs.

Floating Requirements:

• Possible to float to the ED as a helping hand during code/trauma if assigned to the code team.
