Additional Information
You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
Clinicians who live within 51-75 miles from the facility will be considered local.
Required Skills/Experience:
First-time travelers are accepted if they have Level I trauma experience.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
Pediatric experience preferred.
Teaching hospital experience is preferred.
Special Requests:
Local candidates are not eligible for extensions beyond the initial contract.
Unit Details:
The ED handles stroke and STEMI cases.
The ED includes a pediatric emergency department within University Hospital.
Patient population includes neonates, infants, pediatric and adolescent patients, adults, and geriatric patients.
Shift & Scheduling:
Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week.
Alternating weekends are required.
At least 50 percent of the holidays that occur during the contract are required.
Rotating shifts, holiday work, and work during inclement weather are required.
Call is required.
Floating Requirements:
The clinician will float between UH (University Hospital) and WH (Women's Health) EDs and ED observation.
The psych center associated with the ED is not a floating destination.
Details:
• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear "Yes" or "No" response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
