Required Skills/Experience: Must have experience with SVD (no VBAC), cesarean section, OB triage, nonstress tests, postpartum, nursery, newborn care and procedures, management of hemorrhages, fetal monitoring and interventions, and management of pre-eclampsia/eclampsia/hypertensive crisis patients.
Preferred Credentials: Bachelor’s in nursing preferred.
Unit Details: LDRP unit covering labor & delivery, recovery, triage, postpartum, and nursery; includes postpartum couplet care and a level 1 nursery. Adults and newborns. Common diagnoses/treatments include antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, pre-eclampsia, cesarean section, inductions, and neonatal hyperbilirubinemia. Uses Omnicell Medication Dispenser, Baxter pumps, Masimo monitors, and GE Centricity fetal heart rate monitoring. Patient ratios follow AWHONN standards.
Shift & Scheduling: No call.
Floating Requirements: May float to Med/Surg and Psych units, depending on patient census and department needs.
