Travel Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department

Special Requests:

• An interview may not be available prior to offer.
• Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained.
• Resume: Each employment history entry must include detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, and whether the facility is a teaching facility.
• Cannot have worked at any CommonSpirit location within the last 12 months.
• At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to.
• Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility.
• Travel teams must have their own vehicles.

Required Skills/Experience:

• Must be able to read telemetry strips.

Required Credentials:

• You are required to pass a Basic Dysrhythmia/EKG exam during onboarding/day 1 orientation; 2 attempts allowed.
• ENPC does not replace PALS.
• Pass/fail SIMs Lab required for travelers going to St. Joseph's Main campus and/or St. Joseph's Westgate campus; ED completes Foley catheter insertion and port-a-cath insertion.

Unit Details:

• Uses Phillips monitors.
• Trauma and burn cases; pediatric patients are transferred out.
• Includes 30-40 psych holds.

Shift & Scheduling:

• 4 total weekend shifts per 4 weeks.
• Holidays based on unit coverage.

Floating Requirements:

• ER float positions require floating between St. Joseph's Main, St. Joseph's Westgate, and the free-standing ERs in Litchfield Park and Glendale (4 facilities total); locations are about 30 minutes apart and clinicians may be floated midshift. A home base facility will try to be established; however, this may not be the facility the clinician is regularly at. A schedule will be made in advance so clinicians know which location they will report to.
