Travel Nurse (RN) - Cardiovascular Operating Room

Required Skills/Experience:

• Able to scrub and circulate adult or pediatric open-heart cases.
• Critical care experience required.

Unit Details:

• Mixed outpatient, inpatient, and trauma surgical population.
• Cases include GSWs, stabbings, kidney and heart transplants, donor cases, general, GYN, urology, robotics, vascular, ortho, neuro, and open heart/CABG cases.
• Hybrid room cases are adults only and include TAVR, AAA, endarterectomies, angiograms, and fistula revisions.
• Approximately 20% pediatric cases, including open hearts, appendectomies, and cholecystectomies.
• No liver or lung transplant cases.
• Participates in Gifts of Hope cases.
• Uses Alaris IV pumps and Pyxis.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Weekend rotation every 4th weekend (Sat-Sun).
• 6-week schedule; schedule is provided 2-4 weeks in advance.
• Rotation-based schedule with no self-scheduling.
• Holiday requirement: 1 summer and 1 winter holiday.
• Must take 1 full weekend of call per month (Fri., Sat., Sun.) and 1 weekday call, totaling 125 hours of call per month.
• 30-minute response time required for call.
