Additional Details:

Artificial nails are not allowed for any travelers. Failure to adhere could result in being sent home and/or terminated if policy is not followed.

If candidate worked a perm facility in the last 12 months, 1 reference must be from perm facility.

Eligibility as Current/Previous Employee: cumulative experience applies for previous travelers.

References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to.

Required Skills/Experience: Must be comfortable with cardiac monitoring and cardiac drips.

Unit Details: Cardiac patients, post-pneumonia, post-cath lab, seizure, and ETOH/CIWA patients. Titrates drips including cardizem, amio, nitro, heparin, dopamine, dobutamine, and angiomax. Day shift charge nurse typically does not take a patient assignment unless necessary; night shift charge nurse takes a lighter patient assignment. Patient care tech support available. Respiratory therapy available 24/7 and assigned to the unit; RT manages BiPAP, Airvo, and trachs, and nurses are expected to troubleshoot equipment as appropriate. Monitor tech available 24/7. Nurses are expected to read and interpret telemetry, print strips, perform measurements, and identify rhythms.

Shift & Scheduling: Day/night rotation. Every other weekend. May be asked to participate in holiday rotation. No call.

Floating Requirements: Travelers can float to any inpatient unit and are first to float.
