Required Skills/Experience:
Experience with crisis intervention and verbal de-escalation preferred.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
2 years of experience preferred.
Behavioral management skills preferred.
Unit Details:
Common diagnoses include substance abuse disorders, mood disorders, psychotic disorders, PTSD, and anxiety disorders.
Patient ratios are 12:1 and depend on census.
Patients must be medically cleared before arriving at the facility. Patients with lines or tubes are excluded, except for CPAP and patients needing 2L of oxygen or less.
Most charting is on paper.
Medications are pulled from a Pyxis.
Adult patient population.
Shift & Scheduling:
Flexible contract hours: Full-time 36/week or part-time 24/week.
Saturday and Sunday every 3rd weekend.
No call.
Floating Requirements:
There are two units within the hospital, and staff rotate working each unit.
