Travel Nurse (RN) - Step Down Unit

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Special Requests: If you have more than 5 days of requested time off, time will be added at the end of the contract to ensure a full 13 weeks. Please do not request more than 1 holiday off. Scheduling requests cannot be accommodated. Travelers will be expected to work 2 of 3 upcoming major holidays (Thanksgiving Day/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, New Year's Eve/New Year's Day). If the contract falls over only 2 of these holidays, the traveler will be expected to work 1 of 2 holidays.

Unit Details: High-acuity step-down/intermediate care unit for adult and geriatric patients with cardiac disease and stroke, including acute cardiac events requiring continuous intravenous medication drips and pre- and post-EP studies, cardiac catheterization, and pre- and post-pacemaker/AICD care. May care for COVID patients.

Shift & Scheduling: RTO: Max 7 days. Weekends as needed (likely EOW).

Floating Requirements: Will float to all MS floors and potentially rehab; may float to OB as helping hands. Float assignments may include stable open heart surgery patients transferred out of ICU, stroke patients, peritoneal dialysis, CHF exacerbations, respiratory illness, arrhythmias, general surgery, ortho, end-of-life care, COPD, and sepsis.

All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment.
