OR RNs only: Application must include either an OR - Circulating or an OR - Scrub skills checklist, in addition to the OR - RN checklist.

Required Skills/Experience: First-time travelers must have 2 years of perm staff RN experience in acute care. Titratable gtts: Cardene, Cardizem, insulin, heparin, Neo, Levophed; request manager approval to offer without this experience.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Chest tube management, traches, peritoneal dialysis, iSTAT, CSF (lumbar) drains preferred.

Required Credentials: Traveler will be required to pass an EKG competency exam as part of compliance, prior to arrival.

Special Requests: Travelers must be separated for 1 year if previously a perm staff. Up to 7 days of RTO; must extend 1 week for every full week requested off. May only request 1 weekend of RTO per 13-week contract.

Unit Details: Patient population includes AFIB/RVR, DKA, HTN, COPD, ARF, status post heart caths, and stroke unit overflow including CVA/TIA in need of TPA administration; spinal surgical cases include ACDF and laminectomy. Charge nurse may have a patient assignment. Phlebotomy, RT, and hospitalist available in house. IV/VAT team available 7a-3p. Resource nurse staffing dependent. OT, PT, ST. Centralized tele monitoring in unit. Uses Alaris IV pumps and Pyxis medication dispensing.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. Will work 4 days one week and 3 days the next week; this is mandatory. Night shift follows a 5/2 schedule: one group works every Monday/Tuesday, creating a Sunday, Monday, Tuesday week followed by Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday the next; they work 5 on, 5 off, 2 on, 2 off. The other group works every Wednesday/Thursday, creating a Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday week followed by Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday; they work 5 off, 5 on, 2 off, 2 on. No call. Will work 2/3 holidays.

Floating Requirements: Float to Stroke and MedSurg (1:5-6 ratios).
