Unit Details:
Assess ortho and medical/surgical patients every shift.
Educate ortho and medical/surgical patients on wound care, proper mobility, self-care, medication management, care transition needs and any additional patient-specific needs.
Coordinate with physician and surgeon partners on the care of ortho and medical/surgical patients.
Delegate and monitor interventions of the HCT staff.
Set up ortho traction and manipulate surgical traction devices for mobility and wound care.
Manage wound appliances such as wound vacs, drains, pouches and other urological devices.
Shift & Scheduling:
The schedule includes 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week period.
Holiday shifts are rotating.
Floating Requirements:
Travelers assigned to the Greater Peoria Service Area may be required to float between the following sites: Carle Health Methodist Hospital, Carle Health Pekin Hospital, and/or Carle Health Proctor Hospital. The Carle Leader will notify the traveler directly when there is a need to float between locations.

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear "Yes" or "No" response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
