Travel Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department

Required Skills/Experience:

• Charge experience required.

Unit Details:

• Charge RN role; this position is 60% ED and 40% critical access charge.
• Whenever possible, patients are stabilized, treated, and discharged back home; emergent conditions may be stabilized and transferred to other facilities for services not offered at this hospital.
• Works closely with the area's ambulance service; DHART and LifeFlight of Maine provide helicopter trauma service for rapid transfer of critically ill or injured patients.
• TeleEmergency, Telepsych, and Teleneonatal are available in the ED via DHMC.
• Support staff includes Emergency Department technicians.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Every other weekend.
• No call.

Floating Requirements:

• Must float to Med/Surg and Stepdown; must be willing to take Stepdown patients and help with Med/Surg patients.
