Travel Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department

Special Requests: Clinicians who obtained their RN degree outside of the U.S. and do not hold a MO, IL, or compact license require an extended licensing and compliance timeframe. No medical marijuana cards accepted. Labs must be completed within 48 hours of signing.

Required Skills/Experience: Usually 3 years of experience required; will look at 2-3 years of experience if they have level I trauma center experience and one travel assignment. Interpretation/management of dysrhythmias required.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Previous Charge Experience: Preferred Teaching hospital experience is preferred.

Unit Details: Draw own phlebotomy. Fast-paced, high-volume, high-acuity department. Frequently staffed in the behavioral health ED pod. Ratios are typically 4:1; low acuity areas can be 6:1 and other areas 2:1 or 3:1. Patient population includes neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Trauma Level I center caring for all ED patient types across all acuity levels, from minor care to critical care. Comprehensive Stroke Center / MI center. Comprehensive Cardiac Center. Behavioral health lockdown unit in the ED. Fast track areas. Will work triage.

Shift & Scheduling: BJC policy: Every other weekend required. No on-call required. Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 hours per week. No more than 7 days of RTO per 13 week contract.
