Required Skills/Experience: Previous travel experience required. Must be able to read and interpret fetal strips.
Special Requests: Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Resume: Each employment history entry must include detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, and teaching facility. References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to. Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. RTO needed upfront; additional RTO will not be approved after submission.
Unit Details: 1:1 for pit, magnesium, or insulin drips; 1:3 couplet care. Mainly obstetric and neonate patients, including hypertension and gestational diabetes mellitus; typically does not deliver patients under 36 weeks. RNs titrate pitocin, insulin, and magnesium drips. Unit is locked. OB/neonatologist and anesthesia are not in house 24/7. No monitor techs; RNs read their own strips. Uses Philips tele monitors and TraceView/PIP EFM system.
Shift & Scheduling: Day shift includes call; call or standby depends on staffing. Every third weekend. Every other holiday.
Floating Requirements: Could float within skillset to MedSurg, ER, or wherever needed in the hospital; permanent staff usually float first.
