Required Skills/Experience:
Proficiency with IV starts is required.
Experience with telemetry is required.
Competency with ventilators is required.
Required Credentials:
Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.
Special Requests:
Parking permits: WB and CXS require annual payment upfront and are not available as monthly permits; WMC is available monthly.
WMC parking: Wexner Medical Center Garage, $224.80/month or $748.58 per 100 days.
WB parking: 9th Avenue East/West Garages or West Campus WB/WC lots, $196.20/year; shuttle service is available from the West Campus lots.
CXS parking: 9th Avenue East/West Garages or Buckeye CX and West Campus lots, $393.96/year.
Unit Details:
The patient population is adult.
The unit uses a hypothermia protocol.
Secondary diagnoses include, but are not limited to, GI bleed, chronic or acute renal failure, exacerbation of airway disease, diabetes mellitus, pneumonia, and rule-out embolus.
The patient population includes cardiac medical ICU patients with ACS, acute MI, cardiogenic shock, post-interventional cardiac procedure patients, decompensating heart failure, and patients undergoing TAVR.
Shift & Scheduling:
No call.
Every other weekend.
Floating Requirements:
The clinician will be required to float to different units within the OSU organization as needed.

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear "Yes" or "No" response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
