Any special scheduling requests must be made with manager upon arrival at the facility.
Required Skills/Experience: IV start skills, moderate sedation experience, preop/holding experience, and experience getting surgical patients ready for surgery and providing phase 2 recovery.
Unit Details: Works in preop holding/day surgery. Uses cardiac monitors, ultrasound, and EKG machine. Procedures performed on unit include nerve blocks, arterial lines, central lines, and Swan.
Shift & Scheduling: 3-12 hr shifts. Would consider 4-10 hr shifts. One closing day per week (stay until unit closes). Shift starts @ 5, 5:30, 6, 6:30 or 7 depending on surgery schedule. It will usually be 5:30 am unless it is day to close. Closing days schedule is 7:00 am until when last patient leaves. No weekends or holidays.
Floating Requirements: Will only work in Day Surgery and Preop holding.
