Flu declinations accepted on condition traveler wears a mask at all times.
Required Skills/Experience:
Must have a minimum of (5) five years of recent experience in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn in a healthcare setting to be considered; in some cases, more experience may be required.
Required Credentials:
ALSO may substitute for ACLS.
RNC-EFM may substitute for AWHONN Advanced FHM.
Unit Details:
The assignment includes Labor & Delivery and postpartum rooms, with babies rooming in with their mothers.
The unit averages 40 deliveries per month and 6 C-sections per month.
May occasionally cover as charge nurse after completing charge nurse training.
Shift & Scheduling:
Must be flexible to work other shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
A 15-minute call response time applies to all units with a call requirement.
Floating Requirements:
Travelers are occasionally expected to float to other departments in which they are qualified to work. Floating may involve taking a patient load if experienced and competent in that setting or performing task-oriented duties such as answering call lights and phones.
