Required Skills/Experience: Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips.
Required Credentials: You are required to pass a Basic Dysrhythmia/EKG exam during onboarding.
Special Requests: Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Cannot have worked at any CommonSpirit location within the last 12 months. Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. Will consider blocked schedule based on unit needs. RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions. Candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.
Unit Details: Patient ratios: 1:4-5, occasional 5-6 on nights, PCU level care overflow on the unit 1:3. Adult and geriatric patient population includes cardiac caths, EP studies, pacers, ETOH, Covid Bipap, occasional general surgical patients with heart history, medical patients with cardiac history, pneumonia, acute on chronic conditions, influenza, and sepsis. RNs titrate drips including Amio, Cardizem, Heparin, Nitro, Nipride, Lasix, and low dose Dopamine; no Levo. Equipment includes Bipap, trachs, Airvo, portable tele monitors, room monitors, and tele tech support at the nurses station. PCT support goal is 1:10.
Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. Every other holiday.
Floating Requirements: First to float; floats to all areas as helping hands, PCU for full patient load, MS for full patient assignment, and some ER holds/boarding.
