Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: In addition to meeting the unit experience requirements, your work experience needs to reflect at least 12 months (1 year) of uninterrupted experience working in the same unit/specialty you’re applying to. ER and Med Surg experience required.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Experience with vents, titratable drips, and mixing medications preferred.
Special Requests: Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit. If multiple shifts are posted, only apply to your preferred shift. Blocked scheduling may be accommodated.
Unit Details: ICU patient total care with ventilators and titratable drips.
Shift & Scheduling: No call required. Holidays required.
Floating Requirements: Floating to ER and Med Surg required. A float log is kept in the ICU, and there is a float rotation. The house supervisor or director may override the float book in certain situations; for example, if ER is short, the nurse with the most ER experience may be sent. When floating to ER, float nurses do not take a patient assignment; they help answer call lights, pass meds, transport patients, start IVs, and draw blood. When floating to Med Surg, the nurse may take a full assignment of up to 6 Med Surg patients or may act as an aide for 12 patients.

All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment.
