References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.
Required Skills/Experience:
2 years of experience required; candidates may be screened with 1.5 years of experience.
Colostomy/ileostomy management/care is required.
Insulin is required.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
Previous Charge Experience: Preferred.
Experience with thoracentesis, COPD exacerbation, pneumonia, CVA, hypoxia, electrolyte imbalances, weakness, hypertension, small bowel obstruction, altered mental status, and renal failure is preferred.
Required Credentials:
Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.
Special Requests:
You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
IU Health will not allow IN RNs to work at its facilities. Periop/OR RNs, allied travelers, and ambulatory RN travelers are exempt from this rule. Periop includes ENDO, IR RN, PACU, Cath Lab RN, and SDS.
Unit Details:
Adult and geriatric patient population.
Unit cases include thoracentesis, COPD exacerbation, pneumonia, CVA, hypoxia, electrolyte imbalances, weakness, hypertension, small bowel obstruction, altered mental status, and renal failure.
Shift & Scheduling:
Every other weekend.
Must work 2/3 major holidays.
Flexible contract hours: 8- and 10-hour shifts provide 40 hours in one workweek; 3 12-hour shifts provide 36 hours in one workweek; 4 12-hour shifts provide 48 hours in one workweek.

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear "Yes" or "No" response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
