Travel Allied (Surgical Tech) - Cardiovascular Operating Room

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience:

• Must be able to scrub independently for open heart cases and assist with vein harvesting using open techniques.
• Due to lower cardiac volume, candidates must be well-rounded and able to support other service lines. Minimum expectation: experience in vascular, general surgery, and plastics in addition to CV. Candidates who only have CVOR experience without additional service line exposure will not be considered.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Experience with endoscopic vein harvesting preferred.

Special Requests:

• Previous travelers that have worked at Bassett for 1 year must take a 9 month break before returning as a traveler.

Unit Details:

• Primary cardiac cases include CABG and valve replacements/repairs.
• Uses heart-lung (bypass) machine support environment, cell saver, and common cardiac instrumentation with sterile setup.

Floating Requirements:

• Floating required daily based on case volume to General OR, Vascular, and other surgical specialties as needed.
