Required Skills/Experience:

  • Must be able to read and interpret fetal strips and read own strips.

Special Requests:

  • Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained.
  • Eligibility as Current/Previous Employee: Cannot have worked at any CommonSpirit location within the last 12 months.
  • Cannot be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI or Dignity, within the past 12 months.
  • Submission Limit: Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility.
  • RTO needed upfront; additional RTO will not be approved, including after submission.

Unit Details:

  • Ratios follow AWHONN guidelines: 1:1 for pitocin, magnesium, or insulin drips; 1:3 couplet care.
  • Mainly obstetric and neonatal patients, including hypertension and gestational diabetes; facility tries not to deliver patients under 36 weeks.
  • Titrates pitocin, insulin, and magnesium drips.
  • Uses Philips telemetry monitors and TraceView/PIP EFM.
  • OB/Neonatologist and anesthesia are not in house 24/7.

Shift & Scheduling:

  • No self-scheduling. Block scheduling allowed.
  • Every other weekend. Every other holiday.
  • On-call/standby depends on staffing.
  • Flexible contract hours: 48 per week.

Floating Requirements:

  • Floats to Med/Surg, ER, and other areas in the hospital within skill set as needed; permanent staff are usually first to float.
