Travel Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department

OR RNs only: Application must include either an OR - Circulating or an OR - Scrub skills checklist, in addition to the OR - RN checklist.

Previous Employment Requirements: Travelers must be separated for 1 year if previously a perm staff

Required Skills/Experience: NGT tube insertion, IV starts, chest tube management, defibrillation, splinting, Stroke/NIHSS experience, ICU gtt management

Required Credentials: Traveler will be required to PASS an EKG competency exam as part of compliance, prior to arrival (includes MedSurg RN)

Unit/Facility Details: Pediatrics - Geriatrics Cardiac, Diabetes, DKA, Dialysis, Renal Failure, Cancer, Infectious Disease, CHF, ESRD, LVAD, multiple system Trauma Chest Pain center, Stroke center

Special Requests: Can we approve time off? up to 7 days – must extend contract for any full week of RTO - DECLINE if more than 7 days of RTO-do not send for manager approval May only request (1) weekend of RTO per 13-week contract

Shift & Scheduling: Weekend rotation: every other weekend Will work 4 days one week and 3 days the next week (this is mandatory) Night shifts mostly do 7 on/7 off May work 3/2 or 5/2 rotations, for example: 2 on 2 off, 5 on, 5 off No call

Floating Requirements: Only to one of our other ED’s at neighboring facility (rare)
