Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: Experience with ECMO, IABP, Impella, LVAD, CRRT, and PA catheter is required.
Preferred Skills/Experience: 2.5 years of recent adult medical/surgical critical care RN experience preferred. Variety in critical care experience preferred: med/surg, cardiac, neuro. Recent Float Pool, PACU, or Emergency Room experience preferred, not required. Teaching hospital experience is preferred.
Required Credentials: If CA state licensure is 3 months or less from expiration, proof that the renewal process has been initiated is required to apply.
Special Requests: An interview may not be given prior to an offer being made. All RTO must be submitted at time of offer; RTO sent after the contract is signed will not be considered. RTO time must be added back to the end of the contract. You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
Unit Details: Adult and geriatric patient population.
Shift & Scheduling: 12-hour rotating day/night shifts. One 4-week schedule cycle will be either days or nights, but may switch to the opposite shift in another cycle depending on need. Shift options: 07:00-19:30 or 19:00-07:30.
Floating Requirements: Float pool position, not unit based. Must have the ability to float to other UCSF facilities, departments, and campuses, including Parnassus, Mission Bay, and Mount Zion. ICU RNs float to all TCUs and ICUs, ED, and PACU. May be assigned to Acute Care/Tele/TCU units with up to 3:1 assignments and to ED or PACU for boarded patients or to assist with tasks.
