Required Credentials: Basic Arrhythmia exam and Pharmacology exam are assigned upon offer acceptance. Failure after two attempts results in immediate cancellation by the facility.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Orthopedic experience strongly preferred.
Unit Details: Assists with a variety of surgical procedures under the direct supervision of the surgeon and registered nurse. Responsibilities include OR setup, maintaining the sterile field, scrub technician support across all services and specialties, handling specimens, assisting with patient transport and positioning, turnover and restocking, and medication preparation and labeling during procedures. Uses sterilizers, lights, suction, and diagnostic equipment.
Shift & Scheduling: 40 hours per week; 8 or 10 hour shifts, 9a-7:30p or 9a-5:30p. No call and no weekends on first contract. One weekend shift (8 hours) with 8 hours of backup call on second contract. One weekend shift (8 hours) with 8 hours of backup call and 8 hours of overnight call (11p-7a), plus one Friday night call shift 11p-7a, per 4-week schedule.
