Required Skills/Experience: Experience and knowledge of the NextStage CVVH/CRRT machine required. Experience with IABP, Impella, HM3 LVAD, ECMO, and Zoll Thermoguard required. Basic Arrhythmia experience required.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Experience in a Cardiothoracic Surgery and/or Acuity Adaptable area preferred.
Required Credentials: Traveler will be required to pass Telemetry test prior to being cleared to start.
Unit Details: Adult and geriatric patient population. CVCT ICU specializes in the care of cardiothoracic surgery, heart and lung transplant, and cardiac medical patients, including CABG, valve repair/replace, aneurysm repair, aortic dissection repair, LVAD, heart transplant, lung transplant, thoracic surgery, STEMI, NSTEMI, cardiogenic shock, heart failure, and arrhythmia management. Staff assignments often change throughout a shift as patients transfer out of the ICU and new patients are admitted from the OR, ED, referring facilities, or the community. Planned and emergent procedures are frequently performed on the unit. Typically cares for 1-2 patients per assignment; may be assigned 3 general care patients when acuity is low and staffing resources are limited.
Shift & Scheduling: Day/night shift options: 0700-1930 and 1900-0730. Every other weekend. Some holidays. No call.
