Additional Details:
You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Ultrasound-guided IV placement and vein finder experience required.
- Vascular access experience with PICC lines and peripheral IVs required.
- Pediatric VAS experience required, i.e. HemeOnc, ICU.
- Must be quick and efficient with IV insertion and able to monitor IVs and make recommendations on the type of IVs that should be used.
Unit Details:
- Pediatric, adolescent, and adult patients with veins that cannot be seen or felt.
- Uses specialized ultrasound for 75% of IV insertions.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Weekend requirement: Yes.
- Day/night rotation with rotating shifts of 7 AM-7:30 PM, 11AM-11:30 PM, and 3 PM-3:30 AM.
Floating Requirements:
- Float throughout hospital.
