Additional Details:

If a BSN degree is the highest level of education verify the graduation date and upload a copy of your diploma to your credentials.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in an acute operating room environment.
  • Excellent understanding of AORN Standards.

Required Credentials:

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.

Preferred Credentials:

  • Bachelor of Science (or higher) in Nursing Board Approved Program.

Unit Details:

  • OU Health University of Oklahoma Medical Center is Oklahoma’s only Level I Trauma Center. Clinicians should have strong Trauma Level 1 experience and/or be willing to work with difficult cases.
  • Plans, coordinates, delivers, and evaluates nursing care for patients whose protective reflexes or self-care abilities are potentially compromised during operative or other invasive procedures.
  • Responsible for the direct and indirect provision of professional nursing care of patients in the operating room, with ongoing evaluation and documentation of all components of care delivered within the perioperative environment utilizing the nursing process.
  • Individualizes patient care according to the patient's health status, age level, and surgery/procedure being performed.

Floating Requirements:

  • Travelers will be first to float.
