Additional Information
Clinicians who live within 51-75 miles from the facility will be considered local.
Special Requests:
You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
Local candidates will not be eligible for extensions beyond the initial contract.
Required Skills/Experience:
First-time travelers are accepted only if they have Level I trauma experience.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
Level I trauma experience is preferred.
Pediatric experience preferred.
Teaching hospital experience is preferred.
Unit Details:
The ED provides stroke and STEMI care.
A pediatric ED is located within the University Hospital ED.
Patient population includes neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients.
Shift & Scheduling:
Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week.
At least 50% of holidays that occur during the contract and every other weekend are required.
Rotating shifts, holiday work, and work during inclement weather will be required.
The clinician must be able to take call.
Floating Requirements:
Float between UH (University Hospital) and WH (Women's Health) EDs and ED Obs.
The psych center associated with the ED is not a float destination.
Details:
• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear "Yes" or "No" response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
