Travel Nurse (RN) - Cardiovascular Operating Room

Required Skills/Experience:
General OR experience is required.
Experience in a large (500+ bed), academic teaching hospital is required.
A minimum of 2 years of OR RN experience with recent experience and high competency in cardiovascular/open-heart OR is required.

Special Requests:
Employment gaps over 90 days must be explained.
Public transportation is not accessible in the area; reliable transportation is required, and a personal or rental vehicle is strongly recommended.
Vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires during November–April.

Unit Details:
CVOR RNs are required to scrub hearts.

Shift & Scheduling:
Travelers must work 2 out of the 4 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Day.
CVOR RN shifts may be 4x10 days (0645-1715) or 3x12 days (0645-1915).
Weekday call may be one or two 12-hour calls (1900-0715), usually only one during the week unless short staffed; one full weekend of call occurs every 5 weeks.
Work may be scheduled Monday through Sunday.
The schedule must remain flexible to meet the needs of the unit and patient care.

Floating Requirements:
May be required to float to other OR suites (general, ortho, neuro, ENT, etc.); if floated, the clinician will circulate but will not be required to scrub.

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear "Yes" or "No" response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
