Required Skills/Experience: OR experience with trauma, ortho, general, vascular, neuro, plastics, and ENT cases required due to trauma status.
Required Credentials: Cannot have any hits/suspensions on license or any background hits from any point in the past.
Special Requests: RTO must be listed at time of submission. Open to accommodating block schedule per manager discretion. All positions at Providence Health & Services require that any and all lab items requested during onboarding be completed within 72 hours of signing a contract - no exceptions. This means candidates must be responsive and willing to go to a lab to complete health orders ASAP after signing. Failure to comply may lead to a pushed start or cancellation as assessed by the facility. You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing. References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.
Unit Details: Adolescent, adult, pediatric, and geriatric patient population. Cases include orthopedics (total joints and ortho trauma), neurosurgery, vascular, robotics, general, GU & GYN, plastics, and ENT. Hospital OR setting, not ASC. No unit secretary on night shift. Night shifts are usually staffed with 2 people - 1 RN/1 ST or 2 RNs, with one acting as the scrub.
Shift & Scheduling: May need to cover one night shift within the contract as needed. Variable start times: 7:00, 9:00. Weekend coverage per unit needs. On-call is required and will be distributed equally amongst all nursing staff every 6 weeks. This could be up to 6-8 shifts in a 6 week period, including nights, evenings, and weekends/8 hrs.
Floating Requirements: May float to Queen, Petaluma Valley, and Healdsburg.
