Required Credentials:
- ASN.
Preferred Credentials:
- BSN preferred.
Unit Details:
- The RN prepares the OR suite with supplies, equipment, medications, and other required items.
- The RN positions and preps patients for procedures using positioning aids and guidelines.
- The RN supports the surgical team during procedures, responding to requests for extra supplies, blood, specimens, cultures, medications, dressings, and other needs.
- The RN transports patients to the appropriate OR suite and onto the OR table.
- The RN transports patients to PACU or the specific unit and provides handoff to the receiving RN.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Department coverage window: 8:30 AM-7:00 PM.
- Weekend shifts: Yes.
- Holiday shifts: Yes.
Floating Requirements:
- Travelers assigned to the Greater Peoria Service Area may be required to float between the following sites: Carle Health Methodist Hospital, Carle Health Pekin Hospital, and/or Carle Health Proctor Hospital. The Carle Leader will notify the traveler directly when there is a need to float between locations.
Details:
• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear "Yes" or "No" response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
