You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.
Required Skills/Experience: 2 years level 4 NICU experience. First-time travelers accepted with 3+ years of experience.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Previous Charge Experience: Preferred Teaching hospital experience is preferred. PA lines preferred.
Unit Details: Level 4 neonatal intensive care unit caring for critically ill, convalescing, and growing premature and term newborns. Admissions come from the high-risk perinatal department and transports from other hospitals in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and Hawaii. Neonate and infant patient population. Family-centered care environment for fragile patients and their families. Specialists available in endocrine, pulmonary, genetics, renal, metabolic, ophthalmology, neurology, general pediatric surgery, and cardiothoracic surgery. Surgical patients, tracheostomy patients, and delivery-hospital setting. Nurses participate in the education of students and pediatric residents. Travelers are not required to go to deliveries.
Shift & Scheduling: Weekend requirement: Yes. Call required: This is voluntary. RTO restrictions: 1 week max.
Floating Requirements: If they have PALS they could be floated to one of the peds floors for an assignment. If they don't have PALS they may float as a sitter.
