Preferred Credentials: BSN preferred.
Unit Details: Provides post-operative care for the complex surgical population. Monitors and cares for newly tracheostomies. Assesses and maintains wounds that require a wound vac and other complex wound management. Assesses, manages, and educates patients and families on new ostomies. Works collaboratively with the general surgical residency and OMFS residency services.
Shift & Scheduling: 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week period. Holiday rotation.
Floating Requirements: May float to like units. Travelers assigned to the Greater Peoria Service Area may be required to float between the following sites: Carle Health Methodist Hospital, Carle Health Pekin Hospital, and/or Carle Health Proctor Hospital. The Carle Leader will notify the traveler directly when there is a need to float between locations.
