Required Skills/Experience: One plus (1)+ years of experience in Sleep Lab.
Required Credentials: Associates Degree in Polysomnographic Technology or Completion of a Certificate program in Polysomnographic Technology. Temp Illinois licensure is not accepted.
Unit Details: Comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders, including in-center and home sleep apnea testing (HSAT), PAP interface fitting/desensitization/education, MSLT/MWT protocols, and ancillary testing such as oximetry and actigraphy. Scores sleep/wake stages and clinical events including respiratory events, cardiac events, limb movements, and arousals. Provides sleep-related education and support to patients and families and may provide general oversight of other sleep center staff. Provides age-specific care for all populations seen in the Sleep Lab.
Shift & Scheduling: 4-10 hour nights, rotating shifts. Rotating weekend shifts. No major holiday shifts.
Floating Requirements: Travelers assigned to the Greater Peoria Service Area may be required to float between Carle Health Methodist Hospital, Carle Health Pekin Hospital, and/or Carle Health Proctor Hospital. The Carle Leader will notify the traveler directly when there is a need to float between locations.
