Additional Details:

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) experience required.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Community hospital experience is preferred.

Unit Details:

  • Adult and geriatric patient population.
  • Medical surgical ICU with post cath lab and stroke.
  • Bedside procedures include bronchoscopy, upper and lower GI scopes, and intubations.
  • Medical patients include sepsis, acute on chronic respiratory issues, DKA, overdose, CHF, and respiratory failure.
  • Surgical patients include post-craniotomy or high-risk spine neurosurgery, abdominal perforations/washouts, and vascular cases.
  • Neuro patients include TNK post CVA, uncomplicated ICH, rare EVDs, seizure disorders, and anoxic injury.
  • Cardiac patients include STEMI/NSTEMI, IABP, pacers, and post cath lab patients.
  • Acute on chronic processes include COPD exacerbations, CHF exacerbations, volume overload, DKA, asthma, and respiratory failure.

Shift & Scheduling:

  • Typically 6 weekend shifts each 8 week schedule, +/- based on staffing needs.

Floating Requirements:

  • Per census and staffing, float to adult inpatient areas.
