Required Credentials:
Any hit on your license must be disclosed. Hits will be sent to UVA leadership for approval prior to proceeding.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
Teaching hospital experience is preferred.
Special Requests:
Travelers are not eligible to return after reaching 365 total assignment days, regardless of time away.
40 hours of time off can be approved.
Unit Details:
Adult patient population.
Solid organ transplant unit caring primarily for patients in the postoperative and post-transplant phases of kidney, liver, and pancreas care. The unit also cares for patients being preoperatively prepared for transplant surgery, readmitted post-transplant patients, and occasional pre-transplant patients receiving specialized transplant care.
Patient population includes kidney failure, liver failure, pancreas failure, and post-transplant complication care.
Patients often have arterial line monitoring, peritoneal dialysis, LIP-managed vasoactive drip medication administration, post-biopsy care and monitoring, and complex glucose management.
Shift & Scheduling:
Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week.
Every other weekend; must work 2 out of the 3 winter holidays.
Floating Requirements:
Float as needed.

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear "Yes" or "No" response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
