Travel Nurse (RN) - Step Down Unit

Preferred Skills/Experience:
Post-cath-lab experience would be beneficial.
Arterial line experience is appreciated but not required.

Required Credentials:
EKG course required.

Special Requests:
At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to.
Must take full 6 months off from any Sanford Health or Good Samaritan Society location as well.
Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check.
Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained.
If a clinician previously worked with Marshfield, they must have an end date 6 months prior to their submission date.

Unit Details:
The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1-4 and may stretch to 5 if there is sick call or added CNA support.
The unit cares for cardiac, NSTEMI, post-cath-lab, atrial fibrillation, CHF, GI bleed, detox, respiratory distress, and sepsis cases.
RNs are required to titrate drips; common titratable or set-rate drips include nitro, heparin, diltiazem, insulin, and amiodarone.
When serving as charge, RNs take two patients.
Respiratory equipment includes CPAP, BiPAP, and Optiflow.
Tele technicians read the strips, and the unit uses GE monitors.

Shift & Scheduling:
The unit runs 7a-7p and 7p-7a shifts; agency staff are usually scheduled as variable or straight nights.
Self-scheduling is not available.
Every other weekend and every other holiday is required.
Call or standby is required.

Floating Requirements:
The assignment floats to Med-Surg or IMC overflow in the ICU.
