Required Skills/Experience:
Experience/comfort with both mother and baby is important.
Competency in both labor/postpartum and nursery care is important.
Shift & Scheduling:
Every other weekend may be required.
Unit Details:
The Family Birth Center includes a Level II nursery, with labor/postpartum care in the same room/department.
RNs are cross-trained for labor and delivery, couplet care, newborn nursery, Level II nursery, and circulating C-sections.
The unit handles 50-65 deliveries per month.
