Additional Details:

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Skills/Experience: Aseptic technique. Basic instruments, laparoscopic instruments, sternal saws, Midas drills, and basic power equipment.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Case cart, scrub, crash cart, Fontan, VAD, and arterial switch preferred. Pediatric cardiac experience and trauma experience would be very beneficial. DaVinci and Censitrac preferred.

Required Credentials: Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.

Special Requests: Indiana residents are considered local. Surgical Services positions, Allied positions, and IU Clinics accept local travelers. Indiana RNs are not allowed to work at IU Health facilities except Periop/OR RN, Allied, and Ambulatory RN travelers; Periop includes ENDO, IR RN, PACU, Cath Lab RN, and SDS.

Unit Details: Neonate, infant, pediatric, and adolescent patient population.

Shift & Scheduling: Must work 2/3 major holidays. Flexible contract hours: 8 and 10 hr. shifts - 40 hrs. in one workweek. 3, 12 hr. shifts - 36 hrs. in one workweek. 4, 12 hr. shifts - 48 hrs. in one workweek. Must take CVOR call.

Floating Requirements: Primary focus is CVOR, but if they are not needed in CV, there are no CV cases, and/or the CV case finishes before their shift is over, they are expected to help in main OR.
