Required Skills/Experience: Must be independent and confident with vaginal exams, internal monitor placement, and caring for high-risk laboring/delivery and antepartum patients. Must be able to effectively read fetal monitor strips.
Special Requests: Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check.
Unit Details: Level 3 high-risk facility. Ratios follow AWHONN guidelines: 2:1 normal laboring moms; 1:1 high risk labors; 4:1 couplet care; 2:1-4:1 antepartum depending on acuity. Nurses circulate and recover their own C-section patients. RNs titrate Magnesium Sulfate, Pitocin, Insulin, and Heparin drips. If patients are on tele monitors, they are monitored remotely from the ICU.
Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. Holidays as needed. No call.
Floating Requirements: First to float. Float to postpartum as needed.
