Required Skills/Experience: Must be comfortable troubleshooting and assisting with vents, CPAP, BiPAP, and heated high flow as needed.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Trauma Level 3 or 4 experience preferred.

Special Requests: Must take a full 6 months off from any Sanford Health or Good Samaritan Society location and disclose previous employment for a DNU check. Must note in submission if the clinician has ever worked for Marshfield. Previous Marshfield employees must have an end date at least 6 months before submission. Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed; longer blocks of 6 shifts may be considered when able, and self-scheduling is accommodated when possible.

Unit Details: Ratios: 2:1 in ICU; 3:1 in IMC depending on acuity. Common diagnoses include respiratory failure, septic shock, detox, DKA, A-fib, and arrhythmias requiring pacing. Strong ventilator management. No pulmonology, dialysis, or cardiac surgery. Titrates drips including Levophed, propofol, cardizem, esmolol, and insulin. Limited resources onsite; no IV team, and RT covers the entire hospital. Charge nurse takes a full assignment. No nurse aides on the unit. Hospitalist/intensivist coverage is in house until 6pm daily, with ICU tele-physician coverage at night. Monitor tech coverage is available 0700-1900 daily; RN verifies strips and also watches and signs off on MS unit strips, with training provided if needed.

Shift & Scheduling: Rotating 12-hour shifts: 0700-1900 and 1900-0700. Every other weekend rotation, Friday through Sunday. 2 of 3 holidays required. Opportunity/potential to be placed on call or standby.

Floating Requirements: Must be comfortable floating to MS-Tele. Absolutely must be able to float to Med/Surg; ratios are considered, but assignments may be 1:3-6.
