All positions at Providence Health & Services require that any and all lab items requested during onboarding be completed within 72 hours of signing a contract - no exceptions. This means candidates must be responsive and willing to go to a lab to complete health orders ASAP after signing. Failure to comply may lead to a pushed start or cancellation as assessed by the facility. References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years. You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
Required Credentials: Cannot have any hits/suspensions on license or any background hits from any point in the past. Alaska Food Worker Certification required; obtained on-site during orientation. One-time $10 fee.

Special Requests: RTO must be listed at time of submission. Permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility. No more than 1 week of RTO will be considered for a 13-week contract and no more than 2 weeks of RTO will be considered for a 26-week contract. Must be willing to work at least 2 of the 3 major Winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's). Preference is for travelers to be willing/able to work any holidays. All RTO must be sent with submittal. RTO will not be considered if requested after an offer or after signing contract.
Unit Details: Adult and geriatric patient population. Cares for patients with dementia, Alzheimer's, TBI, plegia, cognitive impairments, physical impairments, and other LTC-appropriate diagnoses. Accuchecks, implanted glucose sensors, Peg Tube (G-tube) feedings, Duopa Pumps, IV hydration PRN, phlebotomy lab draws, peritoneal dialysis (subcutaneous only), respiratory treatments (nebulizers), and wound care. Uses ECS charting.
Shift & Scheduling: 3x12 or 4x12 variable shifts, traveler's choice. Day shifts 7:00-19:30 or night shifts 19:00-7:30; caregivers are not typically asked to rotate between day and night shifts, except for urgent staffing needs. Day or night assignment depends on facility needs at start. No call. Contract hours: 60 hours per 2 weeks. Traveler can be called off for 1 12-hour shift per 2 weeks.
