An interview with the unit manager may not be available prior to offer. If you do not interview with the unit manager, you may interview with a third-party clinical nurse manager.
Required Skills/Experience: Ability to read and interpret strips is required.
Required Credentials: EKG exam required during compliance.
Unit Details: Short Stay observation unit caring for patients with anemia, cellulitis, COPD, dehydration, and pre- and post-op urology and GI cases. Manages drips including Cardizem, nitro, insulin, and heparin. Average stay up to 48 hrs with a high volume of admissions and discharges.
Shift & Scheduling: 12 hr variable day/night shifts: 7a-730p or 7p-730a. Every other weekend and every other holiday. No on-call requirements. Scheduled hours may vary during orientation week and during holidays when the unit is closed.
Floating Requirements: Float to all inpatient units as needed, including IMC and CTU units.
