Travel Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department

Required Skills/Experience:

• Need to have experience with peds to adult population.
• Must have good IV/blood draw skills.

Unit Details:

• Travelers will help in triage.
• Sees adult and pediatric patients, with a large older-adult population; stroke and STEMI patients are stabilized and sent out.
• Nurses mix common critical care drips.
• On night shift, there is NP coverage with an MD in close proximity for emergencies.
• There are two nurses on each shift; one is designated as charge and carries a full patient load.
• RT is available 24/7.
• Uses BiPAP/CPAP/vents and Mind Ray monitors.
• Nurses perform most blood draws.
• ER holds are intermixed in the ER.
• No security at the facility.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Weekends based on department needs.
• Expected to work the holidays.
• No call.
