Travel Allied (Surgical Tech) - Labor & Delivery Unit

Required Skills/Experience:
Must have Level 1 experience or comparable Level 2 experience (in a larger city/large bed size).

Special Requests:
You can only have 1 active application for the same position (same unit & shift at the same facility). Example: if you applied for day shift, you can apply for night shift on the same unit & facility, but you cannot apply for day shift at the same unit & facility.

Unit Details:
The assignment is based in the Birthing Pavilion.
The Certified Surgical Technician works collaboratively with the surgical team while advocating for patient safety and maintaining the sterile field.
The CST organizes and prepares all instruments for surgical procedures, maintains and runs the surgical back table, anticipates surgeon needs, and sets up rooms.
Assists in positioning, prepping, and draping patients for surgical procedures.
Can scrub basic cases with little to no supervision.
OB/GYN procedures include cesarean section, hysterectomy, and episiotomy.
The role involves Labor and Delivery unit-specific workflow and supply needs.

Shift & Scheduling:
The schedule rotates between day and night shifts only: day shift is 07:00:00-19:00:00, and night shift is 19:00:00-07:00:00.
Light call schedule after training is complete for emergent cases only; no trauma call.
