Required Skills/Experience:
Must have 5+ years experience and at least 1 travel assignment.
Unit Details:
Includes a 6-bed secure behavioral lockdown/seclusion area staffed by psych.
Approx. 180-200 visits per day.
Cares for pediatric through geriatric patients, including trauma, neuro, ortho, and stroke/CVA cases; some trauma, neuro, and ortho patients are transferred out, and burns are not kept here.
Nurses draw their own labs and start their own IVs.
Ventilated patients may be held in the ER until admitted; respiratory therapists manage vents 24/7.
5-6 nurse aides/paramedics per shift, central monitoring tech, safety sitters, and charge nurse support.
Pharmacy is in the department 11 hours per day and available on campus 24/7.
Shift & Scheduling:
Every other weekend.
Every other holiday.
