Travel Nurse (RN) - Cardiovascular Operating Room

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience:

• Scrubbing CV cases is required.
• First-time travelers accepted with previous Level I trauma experience. -Special Requirements: heart & lung transplants, aortic dissections, ECMO. Screen if no previous Level I Trauma exp.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Teaching hospital experience preferred.
• Endovascular procedures are a plus.

Required Credentials:

• Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.

Special Requests:

• References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant specialty experience within the past 3 years.
• IU Health generally will not allow Indiana RN travelers to work at their facilities; exceptions include Periop/OR RN travelers, Allied, and Ambulatory RN travelers.
• This Surgical Services/Periop CVOR position accepts local travelers, and Indiana residents are considered local.

Unit Details:

• Heart and lung transplants, aortic dissections, and ECMO.
• Adult and geriatric patient population. -Parking Cost: Free

Shift & Scheduling:

• Approx. 100 hours of call every 6 weeks, including 1 call weekend every 6 weeks (Friday evening to Monday morning). -Must work 2/3 major holidays.

Floating Requirements:

• Float to other OR specialties.
