Travel Nurse (RN) - Behavioral Health

Required Skills/Experience:

• Minimum experience: 3 years, with at least 2 being recent inpatient psych.
• First-time travelers not accepted.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Seclusion and restraint experience preferred.
• Ability to act as Charge as needed

Required Credentials:

• MOAB is not offered on site and must be obtained prior to start, or CPI can be completed online through Calm Every Storm and the hands-on portion can be completed after start.
• If you have a multistate/compact nursing license, you will be required to complete a one time 6 hour suicide prevention training according to the WA state regulations.

Special Requests:

• Any RTO or special requests not included on your application will not be considered.
• You can only have 1 active application for the same position (same unit and shift at the same facility). Example: if you apply for day shift, you can also apply for night shift on the same unit and facility, but you cannot apply for another day shift position on the same unit and facility.
• No block scheduling or recurrent days off; 48 hours per week may be available if preferred.

Unit Details:

• Modified charge duties as needed; the facility will explain duties, and prior charge experience is not required.
• Requires blood draws, medication passes, psych de-escalation techniques, group facilitation, and documentation.
• Security is on site but does not lead codes; all staff are trained in MOAB and lead all codes themselves.
• Adult behavioral health patients ages 18-65.
• Seclusion is used; mechanical restraints are not used.
• No detox or substance use disorder as primary diagnosis.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Every other weekend.
